What we collect
The details you give us in our forms (name, email, optional phone, postcode, the help you need and anything you add), plus basic technical data such as pages visited.
Why, and our lawful basis
- To match you with one accountancy firm who can help: your consent, which you give on the form.
- To run and improve the service and prevent fraud: our legitimate interests.
- To send deadline reminders, only if you tick the box: your consent.
Who we share it with
Your request is handled by Abbeygate Accountancy. If we match you with our partner firm instead, we name them to you by email first and share your request with them only. We also use service providers who host our website and email under contract. We never sell your data.
Our AI assistant
The chat assistant answers questions about our service only and doesn't give tax or financial advice. If you use it, your questions are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate an answer and are not used to train its models. Chats aren't stored by us unless you choose to send your details to an accountant, in which case the chat is shared with that one firm. Please don't type bank, tax reference or National Insurance numbers into the chat.
How long we keep it
Up to 24 months after your request, then it's deleted. Ask us to delete it sooner and we will.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, object, or withdraw consent at any time by emailing us. You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
